Jennifer E. Matilla

M.S., LMHC, LPC 

Jennifer has a proven record of working with diverse groups of
clients including children, teens, and adults of various cultures,
spiritual beliefs, and genders.  She has experience treating clients
facing a wide variety of challenges such as mood disorders,
anxiety disorders, behavior issues, and chronic pain. She has
been privileged to work with clients and families dealing with
terminal illnesses, grief, and bereavement. 


Jennifer has extensive experience working with clients coping
with PTSD and Complex Trauma. She assists children who are on
the Autism Spectrum, ADHD, and Developmental Disabilities
involving coping skills and self-confidence.


Jennifer also has specialized experience working with military
families and veterans coping with their unique stressors and
challenges. She feels honored to have treated those who serve
our nation, and their families, in dealing with a wide variety of
issues such as deployment, the impact of combat stress, TBI, life
transitions, suicidal ideation, and substance abuse.


Jennifer always puts the client first, providing support in a gentle
and client manner.  She recognizes each client as unique and uses
a compassionate, supportive, and integrative approach to develop
a plan specifically catered to each individual. This includes DBT,
Trauma-Focused Therapy, art therapy, play therapy, and
additional modalities as appropriate.


Jennifer believes that clients should play a central role in the
treatment process and values a collaborative approach that
emphasizes developing a relationship with the client.  She always
accepts clients for who they are and where they are and works
tirelessly to help them overcome any challenges they may face in
achieving their goals and leading a more productive life.
